Allocation
As of April 14th, 2025, 11:59:59 PM UTC, conversion transactions from DogeP tokens to QuantumCoin are disabled on mainnet, based on prior announcements. The conversion window should be considered closed.
Given the latest developments in quantum computers and quantum circuit algorithms, the plan to multi-fork Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin is on hold.
Quantum Coin will secure the world’s largest three blockchains from quantum computers by multi-forking Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin blockchains and DogeP tokens. As part of this, the coin allocation is as described in the allocation whitepaper.
The max supply is 100 trillion coins. The initial supply at mainnet genesis (chain ID 123123) was 14,957,763,335,050 coins, roughly 15 trillion, as per the mainnet genesis file. Of this, 14,228,101,054,565 coins were allocated to the conversion contract for DogeP token holders and 721,493,585,461 coins to the staking contract as genesis validator deposits, with the remainder in a small number of accounts.
40% of the max supply, which is 40 trillion coins, is allocated for network enablers and is minted only through block rewards. Network enablers are validators, data availability providers and other roles that are required to keep the blockchain running. Similar to Bitcoin halvening, the number of coins for network enablers halvens roughly every 4 years. Thus, out of the 40 trillion coins, the first four years are allocated 20% (20 trillion coins), 10% (10 trillion coins) the next four years after that, 5% (5 trillion coins) the next four years after that and so on.
Block Rewards
With the attempted block time of 6 seconds, four years translates into 21,024,000 blocks (5,256,000 blocks per year). Thus, for each block in the first four years, the reward is 20 trillion / 21,024,000 = 951,293.76 coins. After 21,024,000 blocks, the reward per block halvens to 475,646.88 coins, then to 237,823.44 coins and so on. The reward per block is computed by the block reward code of the blockchain node client.
Block rewards on mainnet started at block 277,204, which roughly coincided with April 14th, 2024, World Quantum Day. Each halvening is determined by block number, not by calendar date: the reward halvens every 21,024,000 blocks after block 277,204.
Note that while 6 seconds is the attempted block time, the actual block time can be much lower or higher depending on various factors including speed and availability of the network and internet connectivity, transaction load. For example, mainnet is currently producing roughly 6,300 blocks per day (rounded), as observed on QuantumScan.com over the 10 days ending September 20th, 2026, which is an average block time of roughly 13.7 seconds instead of 6 seconds.
The table below shows the block number at which each of the next 10 halvenings occurs, the reward per block after that halvening, the estimated total supply once that halvening is reached, and a rough estimate of the date based on the current mainnet block rate.

* Estimated dates are based on a mainnet rate of roughly 6,300 blocks per day (rounded), as observed on QuantumScan.com over the 10 days ending September 20th, 2026 (block 4,679,300 to block 4,742,529). This is an average block time of roughly 13.7 seconds, slower than the attempted 6 second block time (14,400 blocks per day), so at the current rate, halvenings are estimated to occur roughly every 9 years instead of every 4 years. The number of blocks per day can also move up or down depending on various factors including validator network speed and internet connectivity, offline validators, transaction load, node client updates and more. The actual dates of halvenings can therefore vary greatly from the ones shown in the table above, in either direction, and should only be treated as a rough indication. Total supply is the initial supply plus all block rewards minted up to that halvening, assuming every block earns the full reward. Blocks that do not earn rewards, burnt transaction fees and slashing reduce the actual supply slightly.
Validators
In the current release of the blockchain node client, validators are the only network enablers, so the entire block reward goes to validators. Validators run the blockchain node client and enable creation of blocks. For each block, a block proposer is selected using a deterministic algorithm based on the consensus algorithm. If the block is created successfully, the validator who was the block proposer for that block gets the full reward for that block.
The more the number of coins staked, the higher the chance of being selected as the block proposer by the consensus algorithm. Note that staking coins alone does not give any block rewards. Only running a validator node makes the account eligible to get block rewards. See validator staking, deposit, withdrawal and validator setup and connection instructions.
In subsequent blockchain node client updates, the data availability provider and other roles may be added as network enablers. At that time, the block rewards would be split among these various roles. This is a future aspirational goal and would be a community selected decision.
